Meet Jennifer and Ellen the force behind Yoga4Caregivers – a social impact business that aims to expand access to holistic wellness services to caregivers. Jennifer is the founder of Yoga4Caregivers and Ellen is the Program Manager and Volunteer Yoga Teacher.
Jennifer Henius is a licensed clinical social worker, recognized caregiver advocate and healthcare consultant. She has nearly 20 years serving in the Department of Veterans Affairs and is the wife and daughter of Veterans. While with the VA, Jennifer served as the Senior Health Systems Specialist for their pioneering national Caregiver Support Program. Jennifer is also a trained trauma-informed yoga teacher.
Ellen MacKay is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (500hr) with the Yoga Alliance and has a degree in Social Work. Ellen understands the Caregiving journey from personal experience having served as Caregiver to her mother during her battle with lung cancer and her father during his COPD progression. Ellen is passionate about empowering others to find healing by turning inward to connect with the body, mind and spirit.
